Filter Cartridge and Filter Cartridges

Van Borselen Filters has a very extensive program of cartridge filters, for almost every application we can provide you with the right cartridge. We supply among others:

Depth filter cartridges

Cartridge filters with a depth effect are often used in applications with a large diversity of particles or if the contamination consists of deformable particles. Depth filters consist of a thick filter medium that is often built up of multiple layers. This makes this type of filter capable of capturing particles both on the surface of the filter and in the medium itself. Depth filters are available in the range of 0.5µm to 200µm and in various materials. A depth cartridge filter is ideally suited as a pre-filter to protect your final filter or as a filter cartridge for water.

Some examples of depth filter cartridges are the BorsoSpun melblown, The BorsoKlean filter cartridges and the BorsoPleat-K filter cartridges.

Surface or pleated filter cartridges

Pleated cartridge filters are filter cartridges with a large surface area. This large surface area ensures low resistance and a higher flow rate compared to a depth filter. Pleated cartridge filters are available from 0.2µm to 1000µm.  The pleated cartridge filter is available with different connections, lengths, o-ring materials. A plated cartridge filter for water filtration is a common application.

Some examples of pleated filter candles are the Borsopleat-P, Borsopleat-M and the Borsopleat-HF.

Membrane filter cartridges

Membrane cartridge filters are filter cartridges which have a porous membrane. This type of filter is often used to obtain microbial stability of your gas or liquid. Contamination is trapped on the surface of the membrane filter cartridge. The pleated structure in combination with the absolute ratio of the porous membrane make the membrane filter the ideal solution for applications with high demands on the end product.

Some examples of membrane filter cartridges are the BorsoPES, BorsoNylon and the BorsoPTFE,
